Organization of professional practice in the city administration

As part of the implementation of professional practice, it is planned that students will be assigned mentors from public companies and city administration bodies and co-mentors from among the teaching staff of the faculty. Common activities in the implementation of application projects within information systems, in which students participate include:

Snapshot and specification of user requirements
Modeling/designing solutions
Creation of project documentation
Adoption of project documentation
Implementation of the prototype
Prototype testing with real test data
Improvement of the prototype to the level of a usable solution
(if necessary) Migration of data from earlier record formats to a format for use within the application
Documenting the solution
User training

Signed agreement on cooperation with the city administration

On 28.4.2021. A new cooperation agreement between the "Mihajlo Pupin" Technical Faculty of Zrenjanin and the City Administration of the City of Zrenjanin was signed, which includes the implementation of students' professional practice activities. The contract is valid for the next four years. A particularly prominent (but not the only) area of application within the professional practice of students relates to information technologies, i.e. Geographical Information System. The previous agreement on the implementation of professional practice in the bodies of the city administration and public enterprises Technical Faculty "Mihajlo Pupin" Zrenjanin was signed on February 7, 2017. years. Coordinator of professional practice in the city administration

The coordinator of professional practice of students in the city administration is Mirca Sekosan, deputy head of the Department for Information and Communication Technologies of the City Administration of the City of Zrenjanin.
