The application deadline for the Forum for Responsible Business' educational program, Sustainability Starter, has been extended until October 10. It is a free one-month program for final year students and recent bachelor's or master's degree graduates who want to build a career in the field of sustainability and socially responsible business, gain practical knowledge and connect with the business community.

The Sustainability Starter program is intended for young people who are interested in sustainable development topics and want to take the first steps towards a career in sustainability and responsible business. Participants of the program will have the opportunity to learn from experts in this field from leading companies in Serbia and acquire practical knowledge necessary for career development in these fields.

In order to apply the acquired knowledge, the companies will also give the participants a #SustainabilityChallenge. Divided into teams, Starters will have the opportunity to work with mentor support to solve various business problems, such as reducing the carbon footprint of production, better energy efficiency or encouraging the employment of vulnerable groups. They will present their solutions to the business community at the biggest CSR event in Serbia - the CSR&ESG Forum. Through a series of lectures, socializing and mentoring, the participants of the program will be able to acquire practical knowledge, skills and new acquaintances, and step more readily into the world of sustainable business.

The program is being implemented for the 4th year in a row, this year under a new name and refreshed content, which follows trends in the field of sustainability and socially responsible business.

What does Sustainability Starter look like?

The program is a combination of online meetings and visits to companies that will host participants in their premises. Lectures are held once or twice a week for a month. The program also includes team work on a case study - #SustainabilityChallenge, for the solution of which participants will have the support of a mentor. Participants will have the opportunity to present their solutions at the CSR&ESG Forum in December.

Who can apply?

The call is open to final year students, master's students and graduates (up to 12 months after graduation) from all over Serbia.
