COOPERATION BETWEEN THE TECHNICAL FACULTY "MIHAJLO PUPIN" OF THE UNIVERSITY OF NOVI SAD WITH THE LINGLONG COMPANY AND A VISIT BY A GROUP OF PROFESSORS AND STUDENTS OF THE COMPANY
A group of professors and students of the Technical Faculty "Mihajlo Pupin" of the University of Novi Sad has been recognized by the Chinese company Linglong International Europe d.o.o Zrenjanin as being able to successfully cooperate in the design and engineering of workwear for the Company's employees. As part of the initiated cooperation, professors and students of the Department of Clothing Engineering visited the Company on November 6, 2024. The purpose of the visit was to familiarize themselves with the working conditions according to which the characteristics of workwear will be adjusted. In a friendly conversation with the Company's management, the students were introduced to the requirements for workwear. The kind hosts also organized a tour of the production facilities. The students were given the opportunity to express their creative abilities in this business for one of the world's most famous companies. The students will be financially rewarded by the Company for the best works. In addition, the students' works will be shown at several fashion shows. A group of our professors and students will share the challenges of this business with their colleagues from several famous Chinese universities, which has already become their long-standing academic practice of cooperation. We have no doubt that the students, as before, will demonstrate a high level of knowledge and skills in solving the assigned tasks.
The Faculty would like to thank the Company for the opportunity provided to students to practically apply their knowledge, as well as the friendly staff from the Company's management who provide students with all the necessary information for their work in creating comfortable clothing in which employees will feel comfortable. The Company, by entrusting this work to young people, that is, students, has shown a high level of social responsibility for the community in which it operates. Even the Mayor, Mr. Simo Salapura, who was visiting the Company at the same time as the students, was pleasantly surprised by this truly useful cooperation in a conversation with the students. The Mayor wished the students success in their work. The students promised the Mayor that they would present this cooperation and their works to the wider social community through fashion shows, academic and media promotions, and that they hope that this will successfully promote the city of Zrenjanin and the Banat Region in the textile field.
