The Department of Environmental Protection Engineering is one of the younger departments at the "Mihajlo Pupin" Technical Faculty. He is currently pursuing basic academic studies in Environmental Engineering. The chair was formed in order to serve educational activities in connection with the implementation of the first joint study program at the University of Novi Sad, which the Technical Faculty "Mihajlo Pupin" is implementing together with the Faculty of Technical Sciences from Novi Sad.
The study program of basic academic studies in Environmental Protection Engineering is conceived as an engineering, multidisciplinary study program, which consists of educational research fields of the engineering profession. In the implementation of the program, fields of study are studied, i.e. teaching subjects in the fields of environmental protection, energy, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, management and construction, as well as in the basic scientific disciplines of mathematics, chemistry, physics, mechanics and thermodynamics, with a special emphasis on their application in solving problems related to environmental protection.

First-year students of Environmental Protection Engineering visited the water purification station within the "Begejska petlja" system. As part of the professional visit, the students first had the opportunity to visit the administrative and operational building, which houses the laboratory, control room and space for storage and dosing of chemicals, and then all the accompanying process equipment of the primary water treatment system.
